 Seminar Objectives:  
This half-day course is the initial part of a two-part course series given the same day. This first course covers all currently supported    HEAD acoustics front ends, and the basics of sensor management and data acquisition using    HEAD Recorder. The second half-day course (please see the course description for “  HEAD Recorder Advanced Operation”) covers the HEAD Recorder Advanced Operation including Calculated Channels, User-defined Information (UDI) and Flow Control.
This course covers the use of    SQuadriga (original and    SQuadriga II versions),    HEADlab and other front ends as needed by students, and will include the front-end properties, settings and use.
NOTE: Attendees will be asked in advance about their particular front ends, computers and needs and the course will be adapted accordingly. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own software/hardware systems. Computers will be provided for each attendee, along with a limited number of front ends and transducers.

 Seminar Outline:  
HEAD Sensor Explorer 3: define and manage sensors to be used with a connected front end and    HEAD Recorder.
  SQuadriga and    SQuadriga II: functions and use
(Similarly, other front ends as required by attendees)
HEAD Recorder: Step-by-step organization, features, setup and basic operation with appropriate front ends, including SQuadrigas, HMS, HEADlab, and others as required:
- Assigning, connecting, managing sensors and setups
- Displaying "live" analyses
- Making and saving time-data recordings
- Calibrating
- Playback
- Saving and re-using setups and workspaces
HMS/HSU/BHM/BEQ II; control of both the recorder and the HMS or BEQ
HEAD Audio Recorder (basic freeware, usable with HMS, BEQ)
