Measurement of distances to the measurement objects
The beam forming algorithm needs precise information about the distance between array and sound source. Sources located behind the currently selected scan plane are not detected.
Sources located in front of the scan plane are detected, but with a wrong level and position. HEAD VISOR offers the possibility to determine the distance to the measurement objects using the three cameras.
 
Focusing on sound sources
In manual operation, the MultipleEye technology superimposes the images from the three array cameras, so HEAD VISOR can be focused on different objects by modifying the shifting parameters.
The distance to the respective object is shown on the display. In autofocus mode, the distance can also be determined automatically. The distance can also be conveniently determined at a later time, since all the camera signals are recorder by the system.
Thus, the precise information about the distances between the array and the sound sources, which is required for calculating the beam forming algorithm, is available at any time.
