| The HEAD
3D Sound Simulation System H3S is a software for a true-to-life
and interactive simulation of vehicle interior sounds. With
H3S,
airborne and structure-borne sounds can be simulated, processed
and optimized for use in several applications: as a sub-system
to a complete driving simulator, in the SoundCar
from HEAD acoustics, in Listening Studios, in any standard vehicle
(without simulated vibrations) during a real test drive, or
at a desktop PC. H3S
fulfills the most important requirements for a sound diagnosis.
Subjects learn how different driving and operation modes of
vehicle variants can be experienced and evaluated in the interactive
simulation. The playback is aurally-accurate and takes those
structure-borne components into account that are important for
an authentic overall impression. |

| H3S
now has an interface for the Binaural Transfer Path Synthesis.
This is a proven method which was developed by HEAD acoustics
for the synthesis and prediction of, among others, vehicle interior
sounds on the basis of a Binaural Transfer Path Analysis (BTPA),
i.e. the analysis of the measured excitation signals and transfer
functions. Thereby, H3S
offers the possibility to subjectively evaluate and modify impacts
of single vehicle sound paths without the need to exchange hardware
components. |
| H3S
is used for benchmarking, the definition of target sounds, A/B
comparisons of different vehicle types, the evaluation of control
element sounds and, today, it is a key element for trouble shooting
and during the development of new vehicle types. |
